Lithos new Gen4 technology is a leap forward in performance and is based on the continued innovation and development of battery pack designs that are pushing the boundaries of performance while never compromising safety and reliability.

Combining the best attributes and insights from many projects across several verticals, the new Gen4 technology offer improvements in both energy and power density. In addition to performance improvements, Gen4 module is designed for high-volume production. With increased use of automated assembly equipment and a focus on design-for-manufacturing efficiency, manufacturing of Lithos Gen4 systems can be rapidly scaled to meet your production capacity requirements.

Advanced Thermal Engineering

Reliable, long-term operation of a lithium-ion battery requires a sophisticated thermal management system that can keep the cells operating near ideal temperatures across the expected range of operation. Our proprietary liquid cooling technology enables high power output while preserving cycle life and reliability.

Leading Power & Energy Density

Our proprietary battery packaging technology allows us to deliver leading power density (up to 2000 W/kg continuous) or energy density (up to 215 Wh/kg) at the pack level.

Safety

Our packs are designed from the ground up for safety and reliability. We don’t take shortcuts and we build all of our packs using rigorous protocols that create consistent, safe and reliable battery systems.

At the cell level, we use only NCM or NCA cathodes that provide a high level of intrinsic safety. At the pack level, our unique packaging design includes active and passive safety features including:
  • Individual Cell Fusing
  • Passively Propagation Resistant (PPR) design to prevent thermal runaway and isolate cells
  • BMS-controlled Pack Disconnect Protection

Integrated Battery Management System

A lithium ion battery pack requires a battery management system to ensure safe long-term operation. All Lithos Energy battery packs use a high-quality integrated BMS that includes the following features:

  • Fault detection and safety cutoffs
  • CAN 2.0B interface
